Happy Friday! I know that in the past I have posted a similar Steals & Deals post regarding the Gucci loafers with fur, but this is different. I have personally fallen in love with the Gucci Princetown Loafers since purchasing my first pair in black leather. They are the most comfortable slides I have ever own in my entire life. You can quote me on that one. However, not everyone wants to spend the money on the Gucci loafers if they don’t think they are going to wear them that often. Fitness Tuesday- Cleaning in Heels?

Happy Tuesday! I can’t believe it is already April and summer is just around the corner. I have personally noticed that the work out classes I normally attend during the week have suddenly become more crowded the past few weeks. I guess everyone is trying to get into shape right before summer hits, but you don’t have to go to the gym to get a workout in. I read a few years ago that Audrina Patridge (you know her from the MTV reality show The Hills) used to clean her house while wearing high heels. This was really confusing to me because why would she willingly wear heels while cleaning your home? The answer is simple it is a great workout without even trying! Now I don’t suggest you mopping your floors while wearing heels in order not to slip and hurt yourself, but you really can do everything else in heels. I did this the other day while cleaning my apartment and my legs were so sore the next day! It also helped break in my heels that I haven’t worn since last summer. If you have a pair of shoes you are wanting to break in this is the time to do it. I have in the past worn socks in my heels to break them in, but now I think I will wear them while I am cleaning. I personally wore my black patent Steve Madden heels, but if you aren’t sure how you will handle cleaning in heels start out with a great pair of wedges. That may be easier for you in the long run during cleaning and like I previously said it will help break in your shoes more. Has anyone else tried this too? March Madness Gear

Hey guys! Today is the day the day of “The Big Dance” as my dad used to call it. I am talking about March Madness!!! Growing up I played basketball until I was 16 years old and it is my favorite sport to watch. Whether is be college or professional I enjoy watching the game, but being a girl and going to games when I was younger there was always a lack of female gear for sports teams. Thankfully in the past decade designers and teams have realized this as well and have come up with appropriate gear for all genders. I personally don’t wear items that are too girly with all the glitter and bedazzled gems I just simply dress for comfort. I am not one of those girls you see at sporting events that walk in with high heels on and look like they are going to go out to a club afterwards. I always stick to my basics. I wear a shirt that is either my teams colors or a team shirt like this University of Arizona vintage t-shirt. I then pair it with either a pair of leggings or comfortable jeans like these Frame Denim ones. Then depending on the weather and where I am that will determine my shoe choice. Since I am in New York City for tonight’s game where University of Arizona will play North Dakota I will be wearing these short brown booties from Vince Camuto that I got the year I moved to New York City. I am only wearing these booties because I don’t plan on walking very far to watch the game, but if plans change then I will opt to wear knee high boots in order to deal with the snow that is still piled up on the sidewalks right now. The knee high boots that I always love to wear are from Steve Madden. Every time I wear them I am always asked who makes them and people are shocked that they are Steve Madden. They make similar pairs still to this day, but they were a still back in 2011 for only a mere $100. Hope everyone has their brackets ready because March Madness is finally here. Steals & Deals: The Over The Knee Heeled Boot

Happy Friday! For today’s Steals & Deals I want to discuss one of the hottest trends this season…the over the knee boot. We have seen everyone wear them from the Hadid sisters to almost every fashion blogger out there. I was lucky enough to get a pair of the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots in black suede for my birthday, but not everyone wants to spend that much on a pair of shoes. I have found some other options for all of you that give you the same look, but at a fraction of the cost. These boots from Steve Madden almost look identical to mine and are only $129! Even better they also have a pair in two neutral colors for only $99!!!! Snag those babies while you can at that unbeatable price. Nordstrom right now has an amazing selection of over the knee heeled boots under $200. Now just because these shoes are under $200 doesn’t mean you shouldn’t weatherproof them. I have learned that even if you waterproof your shoes the one thing that will destroy them is the salt that everyone puts on the sidewalks to melt the snow. So if you get that on your new boots that are weather proofed just take a towel or napkin and wipe off the salt. If you do that within 12 hours you should be good to go. If you are still in the market for a pair it is not too late to get yourself a pair. Head on over now before they all disappear.

Happy Friday!! Yesterday I spent the day in New Jersey with my best friend Tess and let me tell you that Milburn Deli lives up to all the hype that everyone was telling me. I am still full from my lunch yesterday. For the past few years I have eyed the Stella McCartney faux leather oxford platforms in every store I have been to. They are so cute and classy because they look like a classic oxford shoe, but they have the height like those shoes the Spice Girls used to wear back in the day. We all know we wanted a pair of those for our own. I have looked on every discount site for these shoes in any color way and the lowest that I have seen them even during the holiday time was $600 and I couldn’t bring myself to buy them because I know that I won’t wear them every single day. Luckily I found another option! This year on Thanksgiving I did a little retail therapy on Jildor.com and I thought because I didn’t shop cyber Monday that I wasn’t going to get any rewards, but I was wrong. Just from shopping during Thanksgiving in general on their site I received $50 in credits! I had to use them by this week and I scoured the site for a pair of shoes and stumbled upon these amazing Steve Madden pair. They almost look identical to the Stella McCartney’s the only difference is the toe area is rounded and the heel part is a cork heel vs a wooden heel in the Stella’s. These amazing shoes are only $99 and with my $50 coupon I only spent $49 before taxes. They are so comfortable and I am so glad I found a pair that gives me the same look at the Stella McCartney pair that I have been eyeing, but at a fraction of the cost. The Basic Black Pump

Happy Thursday everyone! It is throwback Thursday so I wanted to throw back today’s post to the basic. What does every girl need in their wardrobe? A great pair of classic black patent leather pumps. This is something that at one point in your life you will need and also will never go out of style. I got these amazing black patent pumps back in college! Yes, I have had these bad boys since Fall of 2010. They are from Steve Madden and are probably the comfiest pair of heels I have ever owned. The reason why I first fell in love with these shoes was because in college my mom knew I would be going out a lot with friends and didn’t want me to spend a ton of money on shoes that I would ruin walking around Arizona. I also love how they have a platform in the front of the shoe, but you can’t tell because of the way the shoe is made. Most of the platform patent leather pumps, show the platform part by how the front of the shoe is cut. This one does not show and it is a solid black patent. Now, since I am no longer in college, I have a more expensive pair of black patent heels for fancier occasions, but when I want to go out to the bars in NYC these are my go to shoes. If you are in the market for a black patent shoe there are a few things you should look for. The first thing is to make sure that the heel isn’t too high for you because if this is something that you would potentially wear to work you want to make sure it is appropriate for the office. Second, make sure that it is a solid patent with no buckles or anything on it. I had a friend in college who got a great pair of black patent heels but they had a gold buckle on them and that made it harder for her to match it with outfits and also made them look less expensive than what they actually were. The amount of people that have asked me if my shoes were Stuart Weitzman or YSL is crazy! . When I tell them they are Steve Madden their mouths drop in disbelief. The Perfect Leather Skirt

Happy Monday! Now what is a Fall wardrobe without including a great black leather skirt. This black leather skirt is from Alice and Olivia and I am obsessed with it! I bought this skirt 3 years ago during summer right before I moved to New York. My mother always says with certain staple items in your wardrobe they are your investment pieces. She says this because these are the pieces that never go out of style and you will wear from season to season to season. When it comes to looking for a great leather skirt find one that is a solid color, but also one that isn’t necessarily a straight cut. This skirt has pleats in it and also it cinches at the waist. Unlike other leather skirts that I have tried on in the past this skirt gives me more of an hourglass shape, but also with the pleats it makes the skirt look fuller than it actually is. Someone one time even asked me when I wore it out if I had something under the skirt to make it look fuller than it actually was. If you are unsure if you would wear a leather skirt every winter then this season buy a faux leather one and test it out. See how often you wear it during the season and if you find yourself wearing more than 5 times before spring then you should purchase the real deal come spring. Like I previously said I purchased this skirt during the summer before I moved to New York because it was on sale. These pieces are honestly the best to buy during the off season because they get heavily reduced, but if you want one right now just remember that Thanksgiving is just around the corner!! Crazy!
