Steals & Deals – Gucci Loafers

 

Happy Friday! I know that in the past I have posted a similar Steals & Deals post regarding the Gucci loafers with fur, but this is different. I have personally fallen in love with the Gucci Princetown Loafers since purchasing my first pair in black leather. They are the most comfortable slides I have ever own in my entire life. You can quote me on that one. However, not everyone wants to spend the money on the Gucci loafers if they don’t think they are going to wear them that often. I have found 4 other amazing options for you all if you still want the Gucci loafer look, but not the Gucci loafer price tag. Sam Edelman makes a similar pair with tassels called the Paris Tassel Slipper for $130. This loafer comes in so many colors I can’t even count!  Steve Madden make  a similar pair that has a small gold buckle on the front like the Gucci loafers called the LAAURA for only $89.95.  If that didn’t get you excited take a look at Topshop. They also makes a suede pair called the Alexa for only $52. But WAIT! It gets even better….I know everyone is loving the metallic shoe trend and if you head on over to River Island website their gold leather backless loafers are get this $50!!! Go to their website now before they are all gone! Birthstone Necklaces – Opal

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day yesterday and spoiled your Mom’s rotten. I personally got my Mom a beautiful Michael Aram picture frame with a photo of both myself and Stella inside. Needless to say she loved it and it is already up in my house in Miami. Growing up I never understood what my birthstone was. I thought it was just a white stone with a bunch of colors mixed into it, but over the years I have learned that there are different colors of my birthstone. I was born on October 21st, 1989 and my birthstone is the Opal. I never liked my birthstone as a child because everyone would get me the same similar pieces with the white opal with a bunch of blue or purple sparks in them. I have never in my line purchased something with my birthstone in it until now. Adina Reyter has become one of my favorite jewelry designers for many reasons this being one of them. Her pieces are so delicate and simple, but also everyone notices you when you wear them. While working one of the trade shows last fall I passed by her booth and was fortunate enough to meet her in person. I asked her what her favorite pieces were of her entire collection both new and old and she pointed to me this opal necklace. I then proceeded to tell her that it was my birthstone and how I don’t wear any jewelry with my birthstone ever. She then let me try on the necklace and I fell in love. It sat so perfectly on my collar bone and was so small and simple that it was just the right amount of sparkle. I purchased it right then and there and since then I pretty much wear it every single day. Shocking that I went from never wearing my birthstone to now wearing it on a daily basis. Mother’s Day Week – Steals & Deals

Happy Friday! The work week is finally over and Mother’s day is just two days away. One of my favorite new purchases this summer was from Donni Charm. Their Donni Gigi’s have become a staple in my wardrobe both during summer and the fall. Stella loves rocking their doggy bandanas too! Right now on their website in their Mom shop if your purchase one of Donni Gigi you get one for you FREE! Now this deal is only through Mother’s Day and you better head on over there FAST!!! They even have a set where one of the Gigi’s is monogrammed saying “Like Mother” and the other says “Like Daughter”. Now if that’s not the cutest gift to where with your Mom I don’t know what is.If you don’t think your Mom would wear these amazing neck scarves you would be wrong. My Mom every time she wears one of her many Donni Charm items out and about in Miami she gets tons of compliments from everyone around her. However, it took a while for her to get the hang of all the many ways there are to wear a single scarf. Thankfully on the Donni Charm website they now have very helpful videos to help you style all of their many scarves including all the new spring / summer styles that I had hard time saying no to every single item in the collection. Sadly I read the weather report and its rain and showers all weekend long in New York City. Comfy Casual Night In

In college Thursday nights were always a big going out night, but since I have gotten older I enjoy at least one night in on the weekends. Especially nights in cuddling with my sweet puppy Stella. However, just because you are staying in doesn’t mean you don’t have to be wearing sweats around the house. There is always a way to look cute even when you are just staying home. There are so many different ways you can take comfy casual and there is no right or wrong way. Most people would say if you are just spending the night in on your couch watching movies that jeans are not ideal for this, but I disagree. There are so many different pairs of jeans that almost feel like leggings and aren’t rigid like most jeans. These type of jeans are perfect for a night in because they aren’t as constricting as a normal pair of jeans. On top of a pair of jeans pair it with a comfy shirt not super tight, but not too loose that you look like you are just wearing an oversized sleep t-shirt. I know you all know what I am talking about those t-shirts from college that were great to wear to sporting games, but now are faded and way too big. If you have one of those that isn’t too big you can cut it up like the shirt I am wearing above. It will spice up your t-shirt and if you cut it wrong you can just continue to wear it as a sleep shirt. Pair your comfy look with a great pair of slides if you are going over to a friends house or just want to break in a new pair of shoes and you are good to go! Stella seems to be very comfy for our night in with her custom Donni Charm plaid bandana. Maybe if I am lucky she will let me take it off before she goes to bed. 🙂 <3
