Tribal Sweater

January 23, 2017

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is having a great day so far. This winter I have seen a lot of different trends when it came to sweater patterns, but the one that I am currently loving is the tribal patterns. I got this amazing cashmere sweater from 360cashmere from the Rocky Barnes collection. It is currently no longer available however, there are still some amazing pieces left from the Rocky Barnes collaboration. When looking for a tribal sweater I suggest to try and go with max 3 colors for the pattern part as this sweater is black, white, beige and the actual sweater is grey. The point of tribal patterns is its suppose to be different, but you don’t want it to be too busy that it is almost distracting. Personally all my closet is either black, white or neutral colors this worked perfectly with my wardrobe. This is also why I loved this tribal sweater. If I had purchased one that was colors that I normally wouldn’t wear and too many of them I know that I would probably wear it once then it would sit in the back of my closet the rest of the season. If you aren’t sure if this trend is for you I suggest going to some of the fast fashion retailers and testing out the waters on what you like and don’t like. Check out 360cashmere’s website now for some great items that they just added to their sale lounge. If you use the code take40 you receive an additional 40% off the sale lounge items! Now if that isn’t a great savings I don’t know what is! Happy Shopping <3

It’s All In The Details – Skull Cashmere

It’s Sunday Funday and I hope everyone is out having a good time on this beautiful day. The weather in NYC has been a bit crazy the past few weeks. Even the other day it was 80 degrees outside and I was wearing shorts a t-shirt! Crazy I know, but now it is finally starting to feel a lot like fall. My favorite part about fall weather is all of the amazing sweaters you can bundle up in. In the past, in stores, it was always the same when it came to sweaters. Whether they were cashmere or a blend of fabrics, they always seemed to be in solid colors or maybe have some stripes, but nothing more than that. Now I am seeing designers take a little bit more risk and adding different unique details into their sweaters. One of my favorite cashmere sweaters brands is 360cashmere. I may be a little biased because the brand was started by one of my best friends’ parents :-). Their son Andrew started his own line under the 360cashmere umbrella and called it Skull Cashmere. The moment I saw the first sweater from Skull Cashmere line I was hooked. I am one of those girls that my closet, including my sweaters, is normally solid colors. I have my black, greys, and neutral colors, but I didn’t have anything with any pattern on it. Especially in my sweaters I didn’t own one with a pattern on it. This Skull Cashmere sweater is honestly my go to sweater for fall. It is a great color and the cut of the sweater just fits me perfectly. Whether I am wearing leggings or a pair of jeans it just works with everything. You can wear it day or night, doesn’t matter the occasion, it’s perfect. I also love how the sleeves aren’t tight around the wrists because I always feel like with my other sweaters, since I’m short, when they are cut that way it just doesn’t fit me properly. The Skull Cashmere line has expanded tremendously since its inception and I can’t wait to see what the future of the line holds. If you haven’t already seen it, check out their website now! They are also sold in many retailers across the country. Have a great Sunday everyone!

The Cashmere Sweater Dress

June 6, 2016

Happy June everyone! I’m sorry for not having posted for a week, but I have been working on some great content for the blog so just bear with me. I  promised you that I will always give this blog all of my effort and I intend to continue to do that. So let’s get started! Today, I want to talk about cashmere dresses. I love them for those cold summer nights. Especially in NYC right now at night when you are walking around it still sometimes gets a little chilly, but not enough for warranting a leather jacket. I am fortunate enough that my best friend’s family runs an amazing cashmere clothing company called 360 cashmere. They are carried in many retailers and online across the country. This amazing black dress from 360 cashmere I purchased this past fall in hopes that I could wear it as a transitional piece. Luckily, I have been able to do just that! It is so comfortable and so easy to wear with heels or even with flats! If you are looking for a great cashmere dress you should go check out 360 cashmere online right now! I know the stigma with cashmere especially during the summer is that it will be too hot , but they also have tank top dress options that I also own and honestly, they are the comfiest dresses I have ever worn during the summer time. They are also a great piece to wear to all of the summer events around town. If you don’t want to spend a great deal of money on a cashmere dress here is a piece of advice that my mother told me. When buying cashmere you want to buy the best because they are investment pieces. Cashmere will never go out of style and will last you a lifetime!
