Happy Fitness Tuesday! Today is a very special day for me because it my sweet puppy Stella’s first birthday!! It is crazy to me to think that a year ago on my birthday I put down a deposit for her and now she is already a year old. So today in honor of her birthday I want to talk about fitness with your animal. Now I love to give Stella treats and of course she loves them too, but we also want our pets to be healthy and have tons of energy. I have noticed that for her even after a two hour walk she still is full of energy, but then eventually sleeps. I personally do not go running with Stella everyday, but I have been taking her for casual jogs in Central Park at least once a week since. Thankfully (knock on wood) it hasn’t snowed yet so I am taking full advantage of it. If you are fortunate enough to have a pool anywhere near you and for us New Yorkers an indoor pool take your dog for an occasional swim. All of my family pets have all loved to swim not just because we were in Miami, but because it is great exercise for them. Even though I have seen videos of it and I find it entertaining I have heard that putting a dog on a treadmill isn’t the best idea especially if you turn up the speed on it. Just like Taylor Swift did in the Apple commercial a dog can seriously hurt themselves and fall down. Hope you all have a great Tuesday and again Happy Birthday to my sweet puppy Stella! The Hangover Cure

October 22, 2016

fullsizerender-5

Hi Everyone! I wanted to say thank you to all of my friends and family who helped make my 27th birthday so special <3.  27 is already starting off amazing and I can’t wait to see what this year has to bring. Obviously last night I had a few cocktails to celebrate and the worst feeling is waking up the next morning with a terrible hangover.  Personally, I have heard of so many different things to cure a hangover from the simplest ideas to the craziest ones. One of the craziest things that I have heard to help cure a hangover is Pedialyte. Yes, Pedialyte, the drink that you see in CVS that’s supposed to give children electrolytes is one of the best cures for hangovers. After one of my friend’s weddings in LA, a bunch of us were in the car on the way to the brunch and we were all so hungover and someone said let’s stop and get some Pedialyte. I was so confused! They said that someone had told them about this years ago and it actually works! Well, needless to say I was proven wrong and it worked wonders! If you have a terrible hangover that is the best way to cure it! However, if you are like me and don’t necessarily always need that, the way to go is a good Gatorade, breakfast sandwich, and if you are feeling up to it, a muffin. The more carbohydrates in your system the better for you. Gatorade helps refuel you and make you feel so reenergized- you will thank me later. Take care of your body because the worst feeling is starting off the work week feeling completely drained from you entire weekend. Here’s to being 27 or as someone told me last night- 3 years until I am officially 30! EEEK!!! Cheers!

Happy Friday Everyone! Today is a very special Steals & Deals post because it’s my 27th Birthday!!! WOHOO!!! Now when people asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year it was hard because I hate asking for things, but this is why I love posting about Steals & Deals. One of the major trends that has come out the past few seasons is the Pom Pom key chain. We have seen so many celebrities rock the Fendi one’s such as Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevigne, Jessica Alba and so many more. However, this trendy keychain like the one from Fendi and even Louis Vuitton made one this past season are so expensive! If you have been looking for one as I have that doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg look no more! Ann Taylor has a really cute one that comes in a variety of colors for only $29.50. BUT! There is even better news! If you go online today and use the code october50 when you check out this keychain is 50% off!! So it then is marked down to $14.75!!! This is obviously before shipping and taxes are added, but still AMAZING!! This keychain you can use as a traditional key chain which hopefully if you are one of those people that constantly can’t find your keys in your purse will help you after a long hard day and you aren’t digging to find your keys at the bottom of your bag. I am guilty of doing this myself I know.  Also you can use it as a purse accessory on any handbag, tote, and or backpack. It adds a little fun to your bag and if you purchase one that is a different color than your bag that you are putting it on it adds a little color to the look. Hurry over to the Ann Taylor website before these amazing keychains are sold out. Hope everyone has a great Friday! Cheers to me being 27!!!

Hump Day Treat: In Honor Of My Birthday On FRIDAY!!!

October 19, 2016

cuppup-header-1024x500

It’s Wednesday so you know what that means? Time for another Hump Day Treat recipe to share with all of you. My 27th birthday is this Friday, October 21st (CRAZY!!) so I wanted to share with you one of my favorite guilty pleasure recipes in honor of my birthday. One of my favorite things to make in college was something called puppy chow. NowI know what you all are thinking it sounds like dog food, but it’s honestly amazing and super easy to make. So When I when I stumbled upon this recipe for cupcake puppy chow from getinmybelly.com I knew I had to share it with you all. I personally like to keep my puppy chow in the freezer until I am ready to serve it, but that is entirely up to your personal preference. Here is what you need:

Ingredients:

  • 4.5 cups rice chex cereal (I normally use a full box)
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 10 oz white chocolate candy melts or pure white chocolate
  • 1 tsp almond emulsion or extract
  • 1 tsp butter emulsion or extract
  • 1 and ½ cups powdered sugar

Directions:

  1. Pour cereal into a large mixing bowl
  2. In a medium sized sauce pan on a low heat melt the butter, cream and white chocolate. Stir constantly until all of the white chocolate is melted
  3. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the almond extract and butter extract
  4. Pour the warm white chocolate over cereal and stir well. I have in the past made the mistake thinking I could use my hands but then burned them so be careful
  5. about  3-4 minutes later no longer than that gently mix in the sprinkles. The last thing you want is for the sprinkles not to adhere to the chocolate but also lose their color
  6. In a large ziplock bag put some powdered sugar in it then pour half the cereal in the large bag or container. Personally I split the cereal with powdered sugar into two bags and then also pour extra powdered sugar on top.
  7. Close the bag and shake until the cereal is coated with the powdered sugar
  8. Place in the freezer until cold
  9. Take out of the freezer and enjoy!!

Hope you guys love this recipe as much as I do. For a full video of it head to Getinmybelly to watch it!
