One Year Of Just Jodi Style

March 14, 2017

Happy Tuesday! Normally today I would focus on fitness Tuesday, but today is a very special day to me. A year ago today I officially launched Just Jodi Style into the world and my what a year it has been. I personally just want to thank my family and friends for all of your love and support through this past year. I don’t know what I would have done without all of you by my side. I hope all of you have enjoyed what I have posted this past year and will continue on this amazing journey with me. Today I am spending the day cuddling up with my sweet puppy Stella in our pajamas trying to stay warm from this lovely snow storm we are having here in New York City. Yes I know the snowstorm is also named Stella just like my puppy. I didn’t know the name of the storm until my brother informed me yesterday afternoon and I didn’t believe him until he sent me a weather report link showing me. Hope everyone has a great day and for the rest of us in New York stay warm and only go outside if it is an absolute emergency. <3

Park Essentials

September 25, 2016

Even though it is almost October it is still nice enough outside to go to the park.I try to go every other week with Stella because, let’s be honest, she loves the park. When she went to Central Park the first time she was so excited she couldn’t stop running around the big open spaces. She didn’t even want to stop for a treat! When a dog refuses a treat that is when you truly know that they are having a good time. I always hate having to pack a bag though for the park because I always feel like I am forgetting something. One of the things that I recently found on Amazon is this foldable picnic blanket. It is honestly one of the best purchases I have made this summer. It feels like a fleece material so it is thick and is big enough to fit about 6 – 8 people on it comfortably! And when you are done with the blanket it folds right back up and even comes with a trusty little handle on it. Remember the park is dirty so you should also make sure that when looking for these foldable blankets online that they are ones that can be machine washed to ensure that you aren’t bringing any bugs into your home. Check out Amazon today for some other great foldable picnic blankets in all sizes!

Family Comes First

May 16, 2016

IMG_7269 IMG_7509 IMG_8411 IMG_9025

First I want to apologize for not posting these past couple of weeks. As I have told you all before, my biggest cheerleaders in life are my parents. I would do anything for them. A few weeks ago I had a family emergency and whenever my family needs me I will drop everything and anything for them. That is how my family operates and I know some of you may not agree with that logic, but after everything that my family has been through the past decade, this is what we do. I happy to say that everything and everyone is doing well now and I am back to writing on Just Jodi Style. I promise to always keep you all informed on my life, but also keep private the things that need to be kept private. Today I want to dedicate this post to my dad. My dad is not only my best friend but to me he is superman. He has gone through so much in his life and despite it all, at almost 75 years of age, he is still working everyday as a trial attorney in Miami, FL. The one thing that I want everyone to do today is if you live near your parents go and see them and give them a hug. If you don’t live near your parents call them, or if you can, face time them on your phone and tell them you love them. Things can change in an instant, but the most important thing in life, to me, is family. Friends and lovers may come and go, but family is there for a lifetime.
