Steals & Deals – The Choker Necklace

Happy Friday! With Christmas and Channukah starting next week everyone is going crazy to find last minute gifts and I am here to show you something that could help you with at least one person on your list. This season the hottest trend was the choker necklace. We saw every model sporting this trend in all different styles, but a lot of the time these chokers were super expensive. For me I knew that I wouldn’t wear a choker necklace everyday, but I wanted the option to wear it when the occasion suited it. I wanted one that was adjustable as I have a very small neck a lot of the original chokers I liked a lot were too big and looked more like a necklace that just was sitting higher on my collar bone than others. I also wanted an adjustable one because sometimes with chokers even though they look proper you may feel like you are actually being choked by them and you do not want that feeling when you are wearing something for multiple hours. After much searching I found this amazing black velvet choker at Urban Outfitters and it comes in two colors black and maroon. Right now if you buy them separate they are $14 but if you buy both of them it’s only $20! I personally have both colors and they are so easy to wear and fit most neck sizes. Happy Friday everyone! Hope everyone had a great week and are preparing for the holidays which if any of you are curious this year Channukah and Christmas are on the same day! So the holidays begin in 15 days! That is two weeks and one day for all of you counting so if you haven’t found the perfect holiday gift here is a good option for you. Steals & Deals: Iphone Charging Bracelet

Happy Friday! This being the last Friday before Black Friday Sales I have taken the liberty of finding something that I know everyone will love, but I also hope will go on sale next week. We all have our cell phones and there is always the dreaded question whenever you are out to ask someone who works there if there is someplace you can charge your phone. In the past, I have purchased the external battery cases that attach to your phone’s original case. I loved them and swore by them, but now I have the Iphone 6S plus and those cases just make my phone so much bigger than it already is so I needed to find another solution. I didn’t want to carry those pill chargers all the time even though I do have one and I carry it in my everyday purse, but when I go out at night I didn’t want that battery pill to take up precious space in my small bag. The solution: a charger that can also be your accessory. Now, in the past I have seen other retailers / designers make wearable charging tech and to be perfectly honest I didn’t like the way they looked. I didn’t think there was anything unique to their look and I wanted something that could match with everything. These amazing monogram Iphone charging bracelets from Mark and Graham are amazing! Not only can you customize them by putting your initials on the bracelet, but they are classic. They look like normal silver and gold bangles and it also comes in a matte black version as well. Personally when I first saw them online and without having read the description, I just thought they were normal monogrammed bangles, but to my surprise they were also chargers. At $150 I think this is a great stocking stuffer for your friends this holiday season. Steals & Deals: Horseshoe Necklace

Happy Friday! For Steals & Deals I want to discuss the horseshoe necklace. This necklace became even more famous when Sarah Jessica Parker wore one and sometimes multiple layered horseshoe necklaces on Sex and the City as Carrie Bradshaw. This specific one is from Tiffany’s and I love how dainty it is, but not everyone wants to spend that amount of money on a necklace. There are so many options that I have found online that look exactly like this necklace, but at a fraction of the cost. Eve’s Addiction has one that is only $20.30 and is almost identical to the one I am wearing. If you are looking for one that is maybe a little bit smaller than this one, check out Swarovski that have one that is only $79! If you are looking for one that doesn’t necessarily have diamonds or faux diamonds, Tiffany’s does have one that is sterling silver at $150. Another option for a smaller horseshoe pendant without diamonds is from Dogeared necklaces which are known to be small and dainty, but also not as expensive. I found this one on Zappos website and it is only $48. All of these options are great gifts for someone that wants a timeless necklace, but also something that is simple. Sometimes it is nice having a necklace that is simple and elegant and doesn’t require much thought when putting it on. I love mine and I have currently been wearing it everyday. Steals & Deals – Loafer Slides With Fur

Happy Friday! This season everyone is obsessed with loafers. I personally have put on my Channukah wish list the Gucci Loafer slides, but let’s be real those bad boys are never ever going to go on sale so I have been looking for other options. Last year, Gucci showed off their slides with fur in the lining and let me tell you I was skeptical. I thought how could those be comfortable? And won’t the fur get really dirty from wearing them outside? So I went to the store to try them on in person and they are so comfy and cozy- words can not describe it. However, I did not think I would wear them all the time with the fur especially once winter is in full effect, slides won’t be something that I will be able to wear everyday. Steals & Deals: Halloween

Happy Friday everyone! We all know what that means: It’s time for some steals & deals but this week, halloween style! Right now if you go to party city online and order any costume they are up to 80% off! They have done this in the past and yes they do get you on the shipping because who doesn’t want their costume on time? BUT I have heard people that have gone into the store and they show the online price and if you get a really nice in store employee they will match the online price! Another great place to get a cheap halloween costume is Target! Yes, Target! One of my friends went to Target and got footie adult pajamas and because it wasn’t considered a halloween costume it was a fairly good price and they had a ton of sizes left for her. For me, every time I go halloween shopping I never seem to find a costume in my size since by the time I figure out what I want to be there is nothing left. Another great place to look for costumes is on Amazon. If you are a prime member this is the day to use it and get it by Monday for halloween. If you are like me and live in the city, check Prime Now. Since there is a warehouse right outside the city I am sure they have a lot of inventory on hand for the holiday. Steals & Deals – Off The Shoulder T

Happy Friday everyone! I was traveling yesterday from Miami back to NYC and didn’t have a chance to post, but don’t worry because I have something exciting to share with you all today. For today’s Steals & Deals I want to share with you this amazing off the shoulder tee from Express. I first saw this shirt while reading a post from Who What Wear. They were showing all the models during New York Fashion Week rocking this simple T and I immediately went to express the next day. In the stores if you dig through the racks you will be able to find them, but hurry fast because they have reduced the price of this amazing T even more! Personally I got a size small because I wasn’t sure how much it was going to shrink after the wash. I have washed it already and it barely shrank at all! Remember for tops like these you need to have a great strapless bra especially one without lace detailing. I only say this because I put on my lace strapless bra under this top and you could see the lace detailing through the shirt. Off the shoulder shirts were a big hit this past summer and going into fall there is no reason why you can’t make this a new staple piece in your wardrobe. In college whenever a trend was really hitting its stride I knew that Express would come out with a similar less affordable version and they really hit it out of the ballpark with this one. They also have amazing bodysuit options if you are more into that type of style. If you haven’t gone already go now! Especially at these prices how can you say no? Steals & Deals: Columbus Day Sales

Happy Columbus Day weekend everybody! When it comes to holiday weekends, we know that this is the time for major department stores to load up on sales before the upcoming season. They all want to get rid of the old merchandise from summer in order to make room for all the new goodies for fall! We all have seen the endless amounts of Macy’s commercials for their Columbus Day weekend savings and personally I always check department store’s out first. I always want to see what is on sale in all the major department stores before I go anywhere else because they usually have the greatest savings for me. The other big ticket items that all of the message boards have been saying are good buys for this holiday weekend, are electronics and appliances. The reason why everyone is saying electronics are the best buy this holiday weekend is so that all of us can get a jump start on our holiday shopping. Yes a jumpstart on holiday shopping when it is barely even October! This is something I know that I have a seen a lot of people do in the past and just store away gifts for the future. Staples has some great ticket items including laptops and printers at over 30% off on their website now. Another great place to shop this weekend for electronics is Best Buy. They are having great deals on their televisions and also on their appliances such as washer dryers. My family last year got a great washer and dryer from Home Depot during Columbus Day weekend, but my suggestion to everyone is do your research first. A lot of these large retailers like Sears, Home Depot, Best Buy and Staples will do some price matching on specific items. It is worth making a list from all the different sites and also seeing if you maybe order your item online it may be cheaper than going to the store and picking it up in person.
